Joel Kovel is Professor of Social Studies at Bard College, editor-in-chief of Capitalism Nature Socialism, and a Green Party activist who ran for the US Senate from New York in 1998, and the Presidential nomination in 2000. His most recent book is The Enemy of Nature: The End of Capitalism or the End of the World (London: Zed, 2002)

Peter Hudis is national co-organizer of News and Letters Committees. He has written widely on Hegelian and Marxian theory, and is co-editor of "The Rosa Luxemburg Reader" (Monthly Review Books 2004). He also co-edited "The Power of Negativity, Selected Writings on the Dialectic in Hegel and Marx by Raya Dunayevskaya" (Lexington Books 2002).

Eli Messinger is co-chair of the Program Committee of the Brecht Forum in New York City. He is a practicing child psychiatrist.

Anne Jaclard is a Marxist-Humanist writer and New York City activist. She is currently involved in support work for the independence movement in Acheh, Indonesia, and for feminist groups in Iraq and Afghanistan.
